Remote Fastapi Developer information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote FastAPI Developer, and why are they important?

To excel as a Remote FastAPI Developer, you need strong proficiency in Python programming, RESTful API design, and experience with the FastAPI framework, typically supported by a relevant degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with tools such as Docker, Git, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is highly valued, and certifications in cloud or backend development can be advantageous. Excellent problem-solving, self-management, and communication skills are crucial for collaborating effectively in a remote environment. These skills ensure you can deliver robust, scalable APIs while efficiently working with distributed teams.

What are some common challenges Remote FastAPI Developers face when collaborating with distributed teams?

Remote FastAPI Developers frequently work with colleagues across different time zones and communication styles, which can make real-time collaboration and code reviews more challenging. Staying aligned on project requirements, API design standards, and deployment schedules often requires proactive communication and thorough documentation. Using tools like version control, issue trackers, and asynchronous messaging helps bridge these gaps, but developers must be disciplined about keeping everyone updated and clarifying technical decisions. Building strong remote working habits and establishing clear processes with your team can greatly improve collaboration and project outcomes.

What is a Remote FastAPI Developer?

A Remote FastAPI Developer is a software engineer who specializes in building web APIs using the FastAPI framework, while working remotely from any location. FastAPI is a modern, high-performance Python web framework used to create APIs quickly and efficiently. Remote FastAPI Developers design, implement, and maintain backend services, typically collaborating with distributed teams through online communication and project management tools. Their responsibilities often include writing clean, scalable code, integrating databases, and ensuring API security and performance.

Agent Dev Engineer (Full-Time/Intern)

Flowith

San Francisco, CA • On-site, Remote

Full-time

Job description

Role Overview

You are the "Architect of Intelligence" at Flowith. In this role, you design the reasoning brains behind our product. You will bridge the gap between raw Large Language Models and complex, real-world workflows by building sophisticated AI Agents. Your mission is to evolve Flowith Agent, transforming static algorithms into dynamic partners that can reason, plan, and execute tasks alongside our users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Agent Core Development: Design and implement the core reasoning logic for Flowith Agents, enabling them to handle complex planning, tool invocation, and long-term memory management.
  • Workflow Orchestration: Build and optimize multi-agent collaboration frameworks that allow AI to navigate the Flowith Canvas, interacting with various nodes and external APIs seamlessly.
  • Evaluation & Optimization: Establish rigorous evaluation benchmarks for Agent performance. Systematically analyze "hallucinations" or reasoning failures and iterate on prompts and logic to ensure reliability.
  • Tooling & Integration: Develop and maintain "skills" (tools) for Agents, expanding their capabilities to interact with the web, databases, and third-party SaaS platforms.
  • Front-Frontier Exploration: Stay at the cutting edge of AI research (e.g., new model capabilities, agentic patterns) and rapidly prototype features that keep Flowith at the forefront of the AI-native era.

Requirements

  • You think in "Chain of Thought" and believe that everything can be augmented by a well-designed Agent.
  • AI-Native Engineer: Proficient in Python and deeply familiar with the LLM ecosystem (OpenAI API, Claude, open-source models). Experience with frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or AutoGen is a strong plus.
  • Prompt Engineering Master: You know that a prompt is more than just text-it's a precision instrument. You have a proven track record of optimizing model performance through advanced prompting techniques.
  • Full-Stack Sensibility: While focused on AI, you understand how to integrate Agents into modern web architectures. Experience with FastAPI, Node.js, or asynchronous programming is preferred.
  • Problem Solver: Strong logical reasoning skills. You can decompose complex user requirements into executable "Tool-Use" or "Multi-Agent" workflows.
  • Bonus: Experience in building RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems, fine-tuning models, or a deep understanding of Vector Databases. For interns, a high-quality GitHub portfolio or AI-related project experience is highly valued.

Benefits

  • Workspace, Culture & Lifestyle
    • Awesome Teammates: Work alongside a kind, creative, and hardworking crew of occasional "geeks" and visionaries.
    • Building the AGI Future: Participate in the in-house development of rapidly evolving AI agents and explore the future of AGI interactive interfaces.
    • Cool Offices in SH & SF: Enjoy our ultra-open workspaces with the ultimate freedom to seamlessly switch between our Shanghai and San Francisco locations.
    • Pet-Friendly Workplace: Bring your furry friends to work! Come play with our resident Orange Tabby and Golden Retriever Mix, or bring your own pets to hang out.
    • Island Hackathons: Join our annual internal hackathons, where we select a new city or country each year for innovative coding sessions and team bonding.
    • Free AI Tools & Tech Gear: Enjoy free, unlimited access to cutting-edge AI tools, plus the latest tech equipment like Apple Vision Pro and FPV drones.
    • Tech Events: Regularly participate in top-tier global tech meetups and innovation showcases.
    • Parties & Events: Celebrate with monthly birthday bashes and annual milestone parties
    • Free Snacks & Drinks: Stay fueled with an endless supply of your favorite beverages and unlimited complimentary snacks.
  • Work Arrangements
    • Flexible Working Hours: Customize your schedule by arriving at the office between 10 AM and 1 PM for a standard 8-hour workday, 5 days a week.
    • Remote Work & Care: Embrace a supportive hybrid work model, featuring 1 additional Work-From-Home (WFH) day per month exclusively for female employees.
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package
    • Competitive Compensation: Earn an above-market salary structure with an optional equity/stock options package.
    • Wellness Program: Take care of your body and mind with free gym access and monthly on-site professional massages.
    • Exclusive Swag & Perks: Receive holiday surprise gift boxes, premium custom company apparel (T-shirts, hoodies, and jackets), and occasional exclusive internal brand discounts.
