What is a remote fast food job?

Remote fast food jobs are positions within the fast food industry that can be performed from home or another remote location, rather than inside a restaurant. These jobs typically involve tasks such as customer service, order processing, virtual support, or administrative work for fast food chains. Common roles include remote call center agents, online order support, and delivery coordination. While the food preparation itself must be done on-site, many companies now hire remote workers to handle the digital and communication aspects of their business.

What skills and qualifications are needed to work in remote fast food?

To thrive as a Remote Fast Food Worker, you generally need experience in customer service, order processing, and basic familiarity with food service protocols. Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems, online ordering platforms, and communication tools like chat or phone systems is typically required. Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills help you address customer needs efficiently and maintain service quality. These skills ensure smooth remote operations, high customer satisfaction, and efficient handling of orders and issues in a fast-paced environment.

How does a remote fast food support role collaborate with in-store teams?

In a remote fast food support position, you’ll often work closely with in-store teams through digital communication channels like chat, email, or video calls. Your main responsibilities may include assisting with order management, troubleshooting technical issues with point-of-sale systems, and providing customer service support. Regular check-ins and clear documentation are essential to align with in-store staff and resolve issues quickly. Successful collaboration often relies on your ability to communicate clearly, respond promptly, and adapt to the fast-paced nature of the food service industry.

Job description

About Odd Bunch

Odd Bunch is on a mission to make groceries more affordable and accessible across Canada and beyond. We are a fast-growing, sustainable, subscription-based produce service that helps Canadians save thousands of dollars on their grocery bills, supports local farmers, fights food waste, donates to families facing food insecurity, and builds a better planet in the process.

About the role

Paid search is one of our most efficient acquisition channels. We're looking for a paid search specialist to own it end-to-end across three markets at three different stages: Canada, where the account is mature and the job is efficiency and defence; the US, where we're launching and the goal is demand; and Oddies, our Australian brand, with its own voice. Beyond Google, you'll stand up Microsoft Advertising and Reddit as genuine channels and tell us where search demand is moving next. You'll also own paid search for our B2B business. This is a hands-on role in a lean team.

What you'll own
  • Channel strategy & targets: own paid search CPA, blended CAC, and new subscriber volume across all three markets.
  • Google Ads: Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Demand Gen, and YouTube account structure, budget pacing, bid strategy, search term mining, negative keyword hygiene, and RSA testing.
  • B2B lead generation: own paid search for corporate, workplace, and wholesale accounts. Success measured on cost per qualified lead rather than cost per subscriber.
  • Channel expansion: build Microsoft Advertising (Bing and the Audience Network) and Reddit Ads into real channels rather than Google mirrors, and evaluate emerging search surfaces including AI answer engines and shopping agents.
  • Measurement & attribution: reconcile platform-reported conversions against GA4 and Triple Whale, and report cost per new customer rather than cost per conversion.
  • Copy & landing pages: write and test ad copy against hard character limits, and partner with the web/CRO side on paid landing page performance.
  • Platform & tooling: own the paid search stack and drive AI/automation leverage.
  • Leadership reporting: deliver a data-backed narrative with insights and recommendations.
What you bring
  • 2-4 years in paid search or PPC, with direct ownership of a budget and a CPA number (DTC/e-commerce preferred).
  • Deep Google Ads fluency: match types, bid strategies, Performance Max, audience signals, conversion imports, and offline conversion tracking.
  • Experience running more than one market or region; US launch experience preferred, along with the judgment to know when a market needs its own structure.
  • Strong short-form copywriting and stakeholder communication.
  • Operator's reliability: you own commitments end-to-end and flag risk early.
  • B2B or lead-generation paid search is a bonus.
Benefits
  • Free grocery plan
  • Bi-annual performance bonus tied to company and individual targets
  • Health plan available after 3 months
  • RRSP matching available at 12 months
  • 20 days Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Fully remote within Canada, with flexible hours
  • Strong potential for growth within the company
