Remote Family Owned information

What does remote family owned mean in a job listing?

'Remote Family Owned' typically refers to a job opportunity with a business that is both family-owned and operates remotely. This means the company is managed and run by a family, rather than a large corporation, and allows employees to work from home or any location outside of a traditional office. These businesses often emphasize close team relationships, flexible work arrangements, and a supportive culture. Working for a remote family-owned company can offer more personal interaction with owners, unique company values, and sometimes more flexible policies compared to larger organizations.

What are some unique challenges of working for a remote, family-owned company compared to larger, traditional organizations?

Working for a remote, family-owned company often means you'll experience a close-knit team culture and the opportunity to wear multiple hats. However, unique challenges may include navigating family dynamics that can influence decision-making, adapting to less formal processes, and handling a workload that may shift quickly based on business needs. Flexibility and strong communication skills are essential, as you'll likely collaborate directly with family members and contribute to various aspects of the business. This environment can offer significant learning experiences and growth, but adaptability is key.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a remote role within a family-owned business, and why are they important?

Success in a remote family-owned business role requires strong self-motivation, time management, and relevant expertise in the business’s industry. Familiarity with collaboration tools like Slack, Zoom, and project management systems, as well as any industry-specific certifications, are often necessary. Excellent communication, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit are crucial soft skills, especially in close-knit team settings. These abilities ensure smooth remote operations, maintain family business values, and support effective teamwork across distances.

Position Overview

Crossroad Behavioral Health Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our remote team. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to provide culturally sensitive therapy to individuals, couples, and families while contributing to meaningful mental health outcomes. The salary for this role is competitive, ranging from USD 70,000 to USD 105,000 annually, along with a potential sign-on bonus.

About the Organization

Crossroad Behavioral Health Services is a Latino-owned private practice committed to offering mental health support that is culturally attuned to the diverse needs within the community. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where individuals and families, particularly from underserved populations, can access the support they need to overcome personal challenges, heal, and flourish. We envision a world where every individual and family system is empowered with the confidence and tools necessary to navigate life's complexities without shame or hesitation.

Work Environment

Our work environment is designed to foster professionalism, support, and collaboration among our therapists. We prioritize creating a safe and flexible setting that allows our team to thrive and grow. The remote structure of our practice enables you to engage with clients from the comfort of your home while promoting a balanced work-life approach. All staff members are given the tools and resources needed to succeed in delivering quality mental health care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ needs to develop personalized treatment plans that target their specific mental health challenges.
  • Provide bilingual (Spanish and English) psychotherapy services, utilizing various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and EMDR.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring each client feels heard, respected, and supported.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate client records in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to provide comprehensive care and appropriate referrals.
  • Conduct outcome assessments and adjust treatment strategies based on clients' progress.
  • Engage in regular consultation with supervisors and peers to enhance your skills and clinical practices.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Crossroad Behavioral Health Services, you will have the privilege of working with a diverse array of clients. We serve individuals, couples, and families, focusing on both common and complex issues. Our client population includes teenagers grappling with identity and family dynamics, adults facing anxiety and depression, and families seeking to strengthen their connections. The culturally sensitive approach is a cornerstone of our practice, allowing us to tailor our services to meet the unique needs of each individual.

Qualifications

  • An active and unrestricted LMFT license to practice in the state of Arizona.
  • Demonstrated strong skills in both written and verbal communication, along with non-verbal communication, to effectively provide therapy in both Spanish and English.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working within a mental health setting, offering services to children, adults, and families.
  • Respectful sensitivity to the cultural and individual needs of each family served.
  • Adept at providing therapy to clients from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Specialized training in therapeutic approaches such as CBT, TF-CBT, or EMDR.
  • Commitment to adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality in all client interactions.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • A willingness to work flexible hours, including two evenings per week and one weekend day.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a behavioral health setting, particularly with trauma, grief and loss, or perinatal mental health.
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with clients from the LGBTQ+ community and other marginalized groups.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems, Microsoft Office, and telehealth platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a caseload and maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
