  • Review source data and supporting documentation to ensure filing accuracy.
  • Document tax processes and recommend efficiency improvements where appropriate.
  • Support audits and provide requested tax documentation when needed.
  • Maintain detailed compliance records and tax filing documentation.

Required Qualifications
  • 35+ years of hands-on federal, state, and local tax compliance experience.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and filing tax returns.
  • Experience processing tax remittances and payments through agency websites and tax portals.
  • Experience performing manual tax filings in addition to automated filing processes.
  • Strong experience researching and resolving tax notices and agency correspondence.
  • Experience reconciling tax liabilities, payments, filings, and balances.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple filing deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with tax compliance software and electronic filing platforms.
