In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Manage a caseload of clients, establishing rapport and positive, confidential relationships while maintaining professional ethics and boundaries.
• Conduct regular sessions with clients to review their progress and stability, utilizing those discussions to inform treatment adjustments and appropriate discharges.
• Develop individualized, person-centered treatment plans by collaborating with clients, identifying therapeutic goals and intervening effectively.
• Document client interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes accurately to maintain compliance with relevant regulations and ensure continuity of care.
• Perform comprehensive intake assessments, gathering necessary information to create tailored treatment approaches.
• Conduct weekly individual therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities and actively engaging clients in the therapeutic process.
• Participate in individual supervision to enhance professional development and ensure therapeutic efficacy.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
• Embrace a growth mindset, remaining open to feedback and ongoing professional development.

Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality mental health services to a diverse outpatient population, including adults, children, and families. Our clients often present with a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related issues, and behavioral challenges in youth. To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.
• A valid, unrestricted License as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State, ensuring you can practice independently.
• A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience, including at least one year in a direct service outpatient setting.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel, Electronic Health Record systems, Microsoft Outlook, and scheduling software.
• Comfort in completing intake assessments and providing direct psychotherapy to individuals and families.

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experiences will be given preference:

• Experience with teletherapy platforms and remote counseling techniques.
• Cultural competence and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing creative treatment plans that meet the specific needs of clients.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $90,000 annually, accompanied by a robust benefits package, including:
