This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to provide critical mental health support while maintaining a work-life balance. Our focus is on trauma-informed care, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about helping individuals on their journey to recovery.

About the Organization

The Tarrant Post-Acute Care Practice Center is a clinician-founded private practice that prioritizes client accessibility and the delivery of quality health services. Our mission is to empower individuals to lead fulfilling, successful lives, recognizing that mental health is a key component of overall well-being. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments, evaluating patients’ trauma histories and identifying appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary professionals to ensure integrated care and comprehensive support for patients.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, helping patients navigate through acute distress.
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping strategies, fostering an understanding that empowers them in their recovery journey.
  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of patient progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to discuss best practices and enhance the quality of trauma-informed care within the organization.
  • Keep up to date with the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to continuously improve patient outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on a diverse patient population, many of whom have experienced significant trauma. By applying trauma-informed care principles, you will help individuals process their experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and build resilience. This role is particularly rewarding for professionals who enjoy working collaboratively with patients to help them reclaim their lives through effective therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and a commitment to utilizing trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated experience providing trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.
  • An ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations while effectively addressing patient needs.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to USD 110,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience. We offer several attractive benefits to enhance your work-life balance, including:

  • Guaranteed salary with opportunities for annual increases and bonus potential.
  • Paid orientation and ongoing monthly professional development.
  • Flexible scheduling options tailored to fit your lifestyle.
