Position Overview

Are you a compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) eager to enhance the well-being of individuals navigating the challenges of serious illnesses? Brave Companion Family, Ltd., based in Sparks, Nevada, is seeking a full-time Senior Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our dedicated team in delivering exceptional hospice care. In this remote role, you will be integral in crafting personalized mental health solutions for clients and their families, ensuring they receive the emotional support they need during difficult times.

About the Organization

Brave Companion Family, Ltd. is a specialized hospice care provider committed to delivering holistic and individualized end-of-life support. We pride ourselves on our multidisciplinary approach, fostering a collaborative environment where our social workers, medical professionals, and support staff work together to elevate the quality of life for our patients. Our organization recognizes the profound impact that emotional and psychological support has on healing and coping, particularly in hospice settings.

Work Environment

This full-time position offers a flexible remote work environment that empowers you to engage meaningfully with clients while maintaining your work-life balance. You will collaborate with our hospice center team, accessing various digital tools and resources to deliver services from the comfort of your home against the beautiful backdrop of Sparks, Nevada. With your expertise, you will contribute directly to improving care plans tailored to our patients' unique situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a variety of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and spiritual advisors, to develop and implement comprehensive, individualized care strategies focused on mental health and emotional support.
  • Conduct detailed psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' conditions, preferences, and challenges, ensuring the creation of effective and responsive treatment plans.
  • Engage in direct counseling sessions with clients and families, providing emotional support, guidance, and resources to empower them in navigating the complexities associated with hospice care.
  • Facilitate grief counseling sessions, helping families cope with loss and facilitating healthy bereavement processes.
  • Stay current with best practices in mental health care and hospice-specific interventions, participating in regular training and continuing education opportunities to enhance service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve an elderly client population dealing with terminal illnesses, along with their families who may also experience distress and grief. The nature of hospice care necessitates a deep understanding of the emotional journeys faced by both patients and their loved ones, allowing you to provide tailored support that addresses their specific needs.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • An active, unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Nevada.
  • Proven experience in social work, with a minimum of two years in mental health, preferable in hospice or palliative care settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive assessments and develop actionable interventions that support client well-being.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working specifically with geriatric populations and understanding their unique psychological and emotional needs.
  • Strong capabilities in crisis intervention, case management, and family counseling.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for maintaining accurate and timely client documentation.
Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options to ensure your health and well-being.
  • A 401(k) plan featuring employer contributions to help you build a secure financial future.
  • Generous paid vacation and sick leave policies to promote work-life balance.
  • Life insurance coverage to provide for your loved ones.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Brave Companion Family, Ltd., we believe in nurturing our employees' professional growth and development. This role offers pathways to advance your career in social work management, specialized counseling, or training within the framework of hospice care.
