A Remote ETL Tester is responsible for testing the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes in data warehousing and big data environments while working from a remote location. They ensure data is accurately extracted from source systems, transformed as per business rules, and loaded into the target system correctly. Their duties include writing and executing test cases, validating data integrity, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers and data engineers to resolve issues. Strong SQL skills, knowledge of ETL tools, and experience with data analysis are essential for this role.

What does a remote ETL tester do?

A typical day for a Remote ETL Tester involves reviewing and analyzing data mapping and transformation requirements, designing and executing comprehensive test cases for ETL workflows, and validating data accuracy across source and target systems.
