    Job Description
    Position Overview:
    We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to support the implementation of a newly developed customer-facing training curriculum for a major biopharmaceutical client. This contract role will execute a strategic curriculum blueprint into engaging, instructionally sound learning experiences across multiple modalities (ILT, VILT, eLearning, microlearning, job aids). The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in adult learning principles, market access, field reimbursement, and a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Design and develop training content aligned to the overarching curriculum framework, tailored to customer-facing field teams in the pharmaceutical sector.
    • Collaborate closely with the Fractional Learning Leader (curriculum lead), subject matter experts, and stakeholders to ensure scientific accuracy and instructional quality.
    • Create engaging instructional materials, including instructor-led training, virtual, leader guides, eLearning modules, video learning, and performance support tools.
    • Apply adult learning principles and modern instructional strategies to ensure knowledge transfer and field applicability.
    • Participate in content review cycles, incorporating feedback from cross-functional teams, including Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance.
    • Manage timelines and version control to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with the broader launch or training schedule.

    Qualifications
    Required Skills and Experience
    • 5+ years of instructional design experience, directly supporting a large pharmaceutical or biotech company.
    • Experience in Inflammation, Immunology, Oncology, Vaccines, Dermatology therapeutic areas.
    • Proven experience creating blended learning solutions (ILT, VILT, eLearning, and performance support) for customer-facing roles.
    • Deep understanding of adult learning theory and ability to apply instructional design best practices.
    • Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate across functions and influence without authority.
    • High attention to detail, project management discipline, and ability to handle multiple workstreams.
    • Experience with standard authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Rise, Vyond) and LMS platforms.
    • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in instructional design, education, or related field preferred.
    • Prior experience in pharmaceutical sales training, market access, or medical field education strongly preferred.
