Regional Sales Managers, Data Center Solutions
Remote
(Target locations: Ashburn, VA; Atlanta, GA; Columbus, OH; Phoenix, AZ; Richmond, VA; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Denver, CO)
FluxTec is expanding its national sales organization and seeking a high-performing Regional Sales Managers to build and grow a defined geographic territory.
This is a hands-on hunter role for someone who enjoys creating opportunities, opening doors, and developing relationships from the ground up. You will identify high-potential customers and projects, build relationships with key decision makers, and lead complex technical sales opportunities from initial introduction through close.
Success will require an active presence in the market. You will regularly attend industry conferences, association meetings, customer events, and other opportunities to build meaningful relationships within the data center and mission-critical community. You will also work closely with FluxTec leadership, engineering, and marketing to introduce customers to our solutions and establish FluxTec as a trusted long-term partner.
This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing company at an important stage of its development, establish a valuable territory, and directly influence the growth of the business. The final territory may be adjusted around the successful candidate’s location, relationships, and demonstrated ability to cover key data center markets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and execute a territory-development strategy focused on data center owners, operators, contractors, commissioning firms, engineering organizations, and equipment rental companies.
  • Proactively identify target accounts, projects, and the specific decision makers responsible for specifying, influencing, approving, purchasing, renting, or deploying FluxTec equipment.
  • Generate new opportunities through direct outreach, referrals, industry networking, conferences, association events, and customer visits.
  • Cultivate relationships over time and establish FluxTec as a trusted resource before, during, and after active projects.
  • Lead the full sales process from initial prospecting and qualification through technical evaluation, proposal, negotiation, and close.
  • Build a balanced pipeline that includes near-term opportunities and longer-term strategic accounts.
  • Coordinate product demonstrations, lunch-and-learns, factory visits, and technical presentations.
  • Represent FluxTec at major data center conferences, regional events, and relevant industry associations.

 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • At least 5 years of successful experience in technical equipment, infrastructure, industrial, or mission-critical sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, open new accounts, and build a territory.
  • Proven success personally managing complex sales opportunities from initial outreach through close.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to attend industry conferences, association meetings, customer events, and other networking opportunities.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% to 70%, depending on territory needs and customer activity.
  • Residence within convenient access of a major commercial airport.

Preferred:

  • Relationships with data center owners and operators, general contractors, commissioning firms, MEP engineers, mechanical contractors, electrical contractors, or equipment rental companies.
  • Familiarity with data center commissioning, liquid cooling, electrical systems, mechanical systems, temporary power, load banks, or related infrastructure.
