Candidate Location: No SC residency required. Open to nationwide candidates.
Project Scope:
Seeking an experienced ADABAS Natural Programmer to support and enhance Retirement Claims and Financial Services applications. The consultant will work within a collaborative team environment utilizing the NaturalONE/Eclipse development platform and ADABAS databases. This role includes both application development and production support responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and support applications using Natural and ADABAS.
• Analyze business requirements and implement technical solutions.
• Support Retirement Claims and Financial Services systems.
• Participate in design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support.
• Modify and enhance existing applications and business processes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Provide mentoring, training, and technical guidance to staff members.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, and technical teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 6+ years of hands-on experience with Natural Programming and ADABAS databases.
• Experience working in Eclipse/NaturalONE development environment.
• Strong experience supporting production systems and troubleshooting issues.
• Knowledge of Payroll, Accounting, Financial Systems, or related business applications.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with JCL.
• Batch and Online Processing experience.
• Technical documentation experience.
• Knowledge of software version control and development best practices.
• Experience integrating legacy systems with modern technologies.
• Retirement Claims domain experience is a plus.
Education:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
