Job Title: Epic Applications Analyst
Location: White Plains, New York
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Range: $46.66–$69.99 per hour ($90,987–$136,481 annually)
Work Arrangement
: On-site or remote candidates will be considered; travel to support OR locations may be required

Job Overview

A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Epic Applications Analyst to support the design, build, testing, implementation, and ongoing optimization of its Epic OpTime and Anesthesia applications.

The Epic Applications Analyst will collaborate with clinical teams, business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to develop integrated workflows that improve operating room efficiency and patient care. This position will also provide application support, resolve technical issues, coordinate third-party integrations, and assist users during implementations and go-live activities.

The ideal candidate will have Epic OpTime experience, strong application testing and integration skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, validate, maintain, and support Epic OpTime and Anesthesia workflows
  • Configure and support integrated workflows across perioperative and operating room environments
  • Troubleshoot application issues and manage reported problems through resolution
  • Provide timely and professional technical support to clinical and operational users
  • Collaborate with end users to gather, analyze, and document business and clinical requirements
  • Recommend system designs and workflow solutions based on departmental needs
  • Monitor existing workflows and identify opportunities for system optimization
  • Develop test plans and document testing outcomes for application changes
  • Complete application testing, validation, regression testing, and integrated testing
  • Coordinate third-party integrations, device testing, hardware installation, and software implementation
  • Support integrations with external systems and vendors, including SPM, TrackCore, and similar applications
  • Execute system changes according to established IT change-management procedures
  • Obtain required approvals before moving application changes into production
  • Facilitate IT rounding and department meetings covering service-line initiatives, ticket priorities, and project updates
  • Serve as a liaison between end users, vendors, and external technology support teams
  • Provide application training and support during daily operations, implementations, and go-live periods
  • Create and maintain workflow documentation, user guides, and training materials
  • Develop operational and analytical reports using available report-writing tools
  • Manage assigned projects, timelines, deliverables, and budgets
  • Support policies and procedures involving system security, downtime, backups, and disaster recovery
  • Travel to operating room locations to provide on-site application support when needed
  • Perform additional application and project responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of three years of application-related experience
  • Epic OpTime certification
  • Experience supporting or configuring Epic OpTime workflows
  • Application testing, validation, and implementation experience
  • Experience with third-party application or device integrations
  • Related clinical, perioperative, information technology, or business operations experience
  • Understanding of clinical and operational workflows within a healthcare environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to gather and translate user requirements into effective application solutions
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlines
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Ability to travel between supported operating room locations

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, Business, or a related field
  • Epic Anesthesia certification
  • Experience supporting both Epic OpTime and Anesthesia modules
  • Experience with SPM, TrackCore, or similar third-party systems
  • Experience coordinating vendor relationships and technical implementations
  • Experience creating reports using Epic or other reporting tools
  • Previous experience supporting application go-lives
  • Knowledge of healthcare system security, downtime, backup, and disaster-recovery processes
