Job Description:

The ideal candidate would have Epic certifications in Beaker CP, AP and Inpatient Orders. Orders experience lab build would be a plus. Need to understand Lab ordering/resulting workflows and experience with testing- MRT, Application and Integrated.

Experience implementing Epic with Sunquest LIS required, Cerner and SofLab LIS a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Integrate Maimonides SQ LIS with Epic, without disrupting the current Cerner LIS connections and build

• Analyze compendiums and resolve differences

• Manage and perform MRT testing

• Interview users and stakeholders to develop business, functional, and technical requirements.

• Create test plans, technical documentation, release notes, end-user guides, and training materials.

• Analyze and document business processes; communicate requirements through data models, process flowcharts, and technical specifications.

• Break down gathered information into detailed data sources, data types, user roles, interface needs, reporting needs, and administrative system needs.

• Present concepts clearly using narratives, diagrams, and storyboards.

• Research industry practices, analyze data, and deliver findings in written or oral presentations with visual aids.

• Coordinate user groups and project teams, including scheduling meetings and managing minutes and follow-up activities.

• Collaborate across teams to create designs, mockups, and prototypes.

• Explain technical design issues to non-technical audiences.

• Contribute effectively within a fast-paced team environment.

• Lead business initiatives involving complex projects.

• Work within timelines and resource constraints defined by the PMO.

• Maintain ongoing communication with users, managers, directors, and vendors to support current initiatives.

• Demonstrate experience with HL7 communications and working in a PMO with cross-functional teams.

• Perform additional duties as required.

• Maintain current Epic certification (current or one version prior).

• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills and a solid background in clinical healthcare technologies and processes.

Certification(S)/Nys License(S):

• Specialty certification(s) issued by a national commercially available program, state, professional society, academic or technical institution in an area(s) listed above, may be credited on a month-to-month basis toward the required work experience for a total of one year

• Epic Certification

Other Preferred Skills:

• Clinical Background (preferred)

• At least 2 full life-cycle implementations (preferred)

Educational Level:

• A Master's Degree or advanced clinical degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience serving as a lead in soliciting, defining, and managing requirements for internally and externally developed software in a clinical, allied health, non-allied health, behavioral health, information technology, information services, business, analytics or related area: or, one year of experience in a relevant clinical and/or healthcare administration role/function; or

• A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university and five years of experience as described above; or

• A satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience.

Years of Experience:

• 2-5 years' experience with Epic EMR and/or other clinical applications.
