Job description

Lead Enterprise Epic Implementations Across a National Health System

Are you an experienced Epic leader who has successfully driven full-cycle implementations across complex hospital environments?

Prime Healthcare is seeking an experienced Epic Implementation Manager (Clinical) to lead enterprise-wide deployments across our national health system. You will drive end-to-end clinical application implementations, partner closely with clinical and executive leadership, and ensure successful adoption across complex care environments.

This is a high-impact leadership role where your expertise shapes how care is delivered across dozens of hospitals.

What makes this role compelling:

  • Lead enterprise-wide clinical Epic implementations across 50+ hospitals
  • Influence provider workflows, patient care, and clinical outcomes
  • Own delivery across full lifecycle: design → build → go-live
  • Lead and mentor large high-performing analyst teams
  • Partner directly with CMOs, Nursing Leadership, and Executives

Travel Requirement:

This is a remote role that requires frequent travel (up to 50–75%) to hospital sites across the U.S., especially during key implementation phases.

Under the direction of the Epic Program Manager, the Epic Implementation Manager oversees Clinical applications and is responsible for managing all aspects of future Epic implementations at Prime hospitals. In this role, you will serve as the driving force behind enterprise Clinical Epic implementations, leading hospitals through each phase of the journey; from early planning and workflow design to go-live and stabilization.

On any given day, you’ll collaborate with clinical and executive leaders to align system design with real-world care delivery, guide your team through build and testing milestones, and proactively navigate challenges to keep implementations on track. You’ll be at the center of the action during go-live, ensuring teams are supported, workflows function as intended, and clinicians are set up for success. After each go-live, the Implementation Manager will oversee a comprehensive handoff to the Production Support team, ensuring a successful transition of support for the hospital.

As a leader, you’ll not only deliver successful implementations, but also mentor and develop your team while building strong, lasting partnerships across the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end Clinical Epic implementations
  • Oversee design, build, testing, training, go-live, and stabilization
  • Partner with clinical stakeholders to align workflows and system design
  • Ensure adoption of best-practice clinical workflows
  • Lead, coach, and manage clinical application analyst teams
  • Drive milestone execution, risk mitigation, and delivery outcomes
  • Oversee post-go-live transition to support teams

  1. Six (6) or more years of applicable work experience required.
  2. Minimum five (5) years of experience working with electronic medical record required.
  3. Experience leading an Epic implementation required.
  4. Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  5. Minimum four (4) years of experience with an integrated healthcare information system preferred.
  6. Minimum four (4) years of experience in project management preferred.
  7. Knowledge of healthcare industry and hospital operations preferred.
  8. Experience leading large teams.
  9. Strong communication and organizational skills.
