  • Provide subject matter expertise on environmental assessments and permitting, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), noise impact analyses, air permitting, water and wastewater permitting, and wetlands.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Design, Construction, Operations, and Legal teams to ensure environmental requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and integrated into project planning, execution, and turnover.
  • Represent CyrusOne in external stakeholder engagements, including interactions with regulatory agencies, local governments, community groups, and public hearings as needed.
  • Track, interpret, and advise on changes to U.S. environmental regulations and policy, and develop compliance strategies accordingly.

  • Strong working knowledge of environmental regulations, with subject matter expertise in air quality and/or environmental noise.
  • Experience managing environmental permitting for data centers or other high-impact, mission-critical infrastructure is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent technical writing, documentation, and reporting capabilities.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including interactions with regulators, consultants, internal leadership, and community representatives.
  • Comfortable presenting environmental risk, permitting strategies, and compliance considerations to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
