Job description

RainFocus, one of the most innovative software companies, is in search of an exceptional Technical Project Manager.

About RainFocus
RainFocus cares about its employees, customers, and the world in which we live. Our rapidly growing team serves Fortune 500 companies like Adobe, Cisco, IBM, Oracle, VMware, and others to prepare and execute in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, across the world. Those events are delivered through our industry-disrupting software platform, with groundbreaking business intelligence, to elevate the attendee experience, streamline event operations, and accelerate marketing results. We are well-funded, growing fast, and building a company that is changing the market — it will be challenging, fun and exciting.

About the Role

This role is part of our Business Systems team, working closely with stakeholders across the business to build, refine, and clean up tickets for our Salesforce-centric tech stack, while also helping us extend AI-driven improvements across the broader organization. You'll blend project management with product-style thinking. Quickly learn how a wide range of business applications work, translate stakeholder needs into well-scoped technical tickets for developers, and help us drive real, measurable change through the use of AI.

Our team is fast-moving and expanding beyond Salesforce into our broader tech stack, providing an excellent opportunity to shape how requests are captured, prioritized, and delivered, and to help the business adopt AI in practical, high-impact ways. Key applications include but are not limited to: Salesforce, Slack, Gong, Claude, Gemini, N8N, Clay, Certinia, Craft, HighSpot, NetSuite, Lucid, and more.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Ticket Building & Backlog Management: Build, refine, and clean up tickets for the Business Systems Admins and Developers, writing clear, well-scoped technical requirements that developers can act on without unnecessary back-and-forth.

  • AI-Driven Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to apply AI tools and workflows to solve business problems, and help drive adoption of AI-based solutions across teams. Hands-on AI experience is a must for this role.

  • Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management: Interface with stakeholders across multiple business units to intake, vet, and prioritize requests, translating business needs into clear technical tasks for the development team. Act as the go-between for developers and business systems admins, reaching out to the business to gather clearer requirements or feedback on a ticket so the technical team can stay focused.

  • Product & Project Ownership: Own the roadmap and backlog for the Business Systems team's initiatives, balancing day-to-day project delivery with longer-term product thinking about what to build next and why.

  • Cross-Platform Fluency: Quickly learn how a wide range of software applications work (Salesforce and beyond) well enough to scope requests, spot integration or AI opportunities, and ask the right technical questions.

  • Agile Process Participation: Participate in sprint ceremonies (standups, grooming, retrospectives) to keep work visible and moving, supporting the team's agile process.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Technical Project/Product Management: Experience managing technical projects, owning products, or backlogs (ideally for a systems, IT, or business applications team).

  • High Tech Fluency: While coding is not required, you must be able to quickly understand how different software platforms work and connect (e.g., via APIs), and be comfortable learning new systems on the fly.

  • Hands-On AI Experience: Demonstrated experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini, Slackbot or similar) to solve real business problems.

  • Technical Communication: Strong ability to translate business needs into clear, well-organized technical tickets and requirements that developers can execute against.

  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to work across multiple business units, filter competing priorities, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity or direct experience with the Salesforce ecosystem and how it integrates with third-party tools.

  • Experience with Slackbot, Claude, Clay, Rovo and/or Gemini, including enterprise administration, workflow automation, or building Claude skills or agents for business use.

  • Experience writing technical tickets or requirements for software developers.

  • Familiarity with agile delivery frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like Jira or similar.

Personal Characteristics & Success Measures
Personal Characteristics
  • Proactive Problem-Solver: An innovative thinker who doesn't wait for direction but independently seeks out ways to optimize workflows and eliminate team bottlenecks.

  • Self-Motivated Learner: A self-starter who stays up to date on the rapidly changing landscape of AI capabilities, LLMs, and internal tool integrations.

  • Great Attention to Detail: Meticulous with project tracking, dependency mapping, and ensuring enterprise data compliance.

  • Collaborative Partner: Highly enthusiastic, high-energy, and ready to act as a true strategic member of our Business Systems team.

Success Measures
  • Clear, Actionable Tickets: Business Systems tickets are consistently well-scoped, clearly written, and ready for developers to act on with minimal clarification needed.

  • AI-Driven Impact: Deliver concrete examples of AI tools or workflows deployed to solve business problems and drive measurable improvements.

  • Bottleneck Reduction: Proactively identify and deploy automated or AI-driven solutions that reduce friction for stakeholders across the business.

  • Seamless Collaboration: Act as a reliable partner to both stakeholders and developers, keeping requests, tickets, and system updates moving forward smoothly.

This remote role can be located anywhere in the United States of America.
