We are looking for a Medical Writer to support a publications-driven account, with a focus on abstracts, posters, plain language summaries, congress deliverables, and graphical abstracts. Although experience in any therapeutic area is welcome, this account is centered on rare diseases and offers meaningful exposure to this space. This opportunity provides clear growth potential for Associate Medical Writers seeking promotion, while also being an excellent fit for junior Medical Writers looking to expand their publications experience.

Role responsibilities
  • Demonstrate and maintain knowledge of assigned therapeutic areas, client and competitor products, and industry regulations.
  • Create high-quality, scientifically accurate, and compliant content to meet client briefs across a variety of project types.
  • Participate in client meetings and onsite programs, assisting in preparation of materials, as needed.
  • Effectively manage and prioritise workload, following processes aligned with internal and client SOPs to deliver to agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Contribute to the scientific content for new business opportunities/proposals, and when appropriate, participate in pitch presentations.
  • Review and data check work against source materials.
  • Contribute to project tracking and reporting using relevant tools (e.g. DataVision, Zinc, Clear), as appropriate.

Skills & expertise
  • An advanced degree in a life sciences or clinical discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience in a medcomms agency setting, working on a range of publications deliverables.
  • Ability to effectively interpret, evaluate and communicate complex scientific data in a variety of styles and formats.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and external experts.
  • Expertise in use of online and other data sources for literature reviews and information retrieval.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, and experience with graphing/referencing software (e.g. EndNote and GraphPad Prism).

Salary range (for US roles only) - $78,800 - $102,400
The provided salary range reflects the potential base salary for this role in the United States, considering factors such as your professional and academic experience, training, and role responsibilities. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer an attractive total compensation benefits package designed to reward and support our people.
