Job Duties:


Part 141 Chief Flight Instructor with Gleim, Inc. in Gainesville, Florida. Teach aviation knowledge to students across the nation utilizing our Online Ground School program, helping them prepare their FAA knowledge test with confidence. This also involves setting up schools and students with the program, resetting courses, providing graduation certificates and endorsements for the tests, and clarifying content-related inquiries. Responsible for the growth and development of the company's flight simulation projects. These include improvements to the software and hardware of the various devises, sales and marketing of the devises to individuals, schools, and organizations, FAA correspondence for approvals and regulatory compliance, development of new aviation software programs to support the need in the industry, and leading the technical support assistance for customers. Improve Gleim's Online Ground School products for pilot training by including more interactive means of engagement like videos and effective learning, including drafting video scripts, filming instruction videos that help explain aerodynamics, aviation regulations and flying techniques. Keep track of changes in FAA policies and how it affects the aviation landscape. This is achieved by reviewing notifications from the FAA regarding changes in regulations and policies, then implementing those changes to the content of Gleim products. Carry out extensive research into the changes before reflecting them in the books. Contribute to marketing campaigns for company's aviation products, including relevant trade shows and conferences. Improve company's aviation related pages and generating engagement of customers through videos and social media, answering course related inquiries from potential customers.

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Aeronautics, Aviation, or a related field.
  • One (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related role working with an FAA designated Part 141 Ground School.
  • Must possess FAA certifications of Flight Instructor, Commercial Pilot with instrument rating, Ground Instructor and Remote Pilot. Must possess FAA certifications of Flight Instructor, Commercial Pilot with instrument rating, Ground Instructor and Remote Pilot.
  • Domestic travel for conferences and exhibitions about 25% of time required.
