Job Description:Seeking a Business Analyst to support data platforms and emerging data capabilities by serving as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams. This role is business-facing first and data-fluent second, with a strong focus on discovery, requirements gathering, user stories, solution definition, and delivery. The ideal candidate can uncover the true business need, translate it into requirements technical teams can execute against, and remain engaged throughout implementation to ensure the solution delivers the intended outcome.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Partner directly with business stakeholders to understand objectives, pain points, workflows, and desired outcomes
  • Lead discovery sessions and ask probing questions to identify the underlying business problem
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements, user stories, use cases, workflows, and acceptance criteria
  • Serve as the liaison between Business, Product, Data, Analytics, and Technology teams
  • Partner with developers, data engineers, and technology teams to define practical solutions
  • Manage requirements throughout development, testing, implementation, and post-launch improvements
  • Support data platforms and products, including Snowflake and Cortex environments
  • Use basic SQL and data analysis to navigate data, validate assumptions, and investigate business questions
  • Help define data requirements, business definitions, reporting needs, and data quality expectations
  • Coordinate testing and validate completed solutions against original business requirements
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment and communicate decisions, dependencies, risks, and changing priorities
  • Support reporting and visualization needs using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or BusinessObjects
  • Work within Agile delivery teams using Jira and Confluence
  • Support adoption and continuous improvement of new data products, platforms, and emerging technology capabilities

Requirements:

  • Must-Haves:
    • 2 years of Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Data Analyst, or related experience
    • Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder discovery experience
    • Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional/technical requirements
    • Proven ability to translate business problems into data, reporting, or technology solutions
    • Strong business-to-technology communication and translation skills
    • Working knowledge of SQL, data structures, and data analysis
    • Experience with Snowflake and/or Cortex
    • Exposure to data platforms, analytics, AI, or emerging technologies
    • Experience with Agile/Scrum and Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
    • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills
    • Ability to work through ambiguity and challenge stakeholders to uncover the true business need
    • Financial services or investment product experience
  • Nice-to-Haves:
    • Tableau, Power BI, or BusinessObjects experience
    • Salesforce experience
    • Marketing or campaign management background
    • PMP certification or project management background
