Job description

Location: Vancouver / Toronto / Remote in Canada    |    Employment Type: Full-time   |
Reports to: Senior Data Analyst, Team Lead

Reporting to Senior Data Analyst, Team Lead, we're looking for a curious and collaborative Data Analyst (Survey Tabulations) to join Reach3 Insights. In this role, you'll help turn survey data into accurate, decision-ready cross-tabulations, working with smart, kind people who love turning human insights into clear stories, stronger decisions, and better customer experiences.

This role is open to candidates based in Canada, with a remote working model designed to support connection, focused work, and real life outside of work.

About Reach3 Insights

Reach3 Insights is a full-service research consultancy that helps modern brands move faster and get closer to their customers through mobile-first, conversational research. We design immersive, in-the-moment research programs, pair them with smart data science and dynamic storytelling, and turn insight into action.

As part of Rival Group - alongside Rival Technologies and Angus Reid - we're helping transform the insights industry through AI-accelerated, messaging-based conversational insights. Our work reaches consumers and business audiences in ways that feel fresh, human, and genuinely useful.

We work with ambitious teams and global brands, and we take the work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. You'll find a team that values trust, curiosity, ownership, creativity, and having a good time while doing meaningful work.

What you'll own

  • Produce accurate, well-formatted cross-tabulations from survey data using WinCross, SPSS, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant tools; review questionnaires and tabulation plans, clarify requirements, and deliver accurate outputs.
  • Complete rigorous quality checks on survey data and tables, investigate discrepancies, collaborate to resolve issues, and advise researchers on how to structure and interpret analysis outputs across different survey methods and designs.
  • Plan and prioritize work in ClickUp, track output, and improve turnaround time, accuracy, and productivity by testing AI and emerging tools, recommending process improvements, supporting new tool rollouts, and maintaining training and process documentation.

What you bring

  • At least 2 years of professional experience preparing, transforming, and tabulating market research survey data, plus a university or college degree or graduate certificate in market research, analytics, statistics, economics, social sciences, or another field involving research methods and data analysis.
  • Hands-on proficiency with SPSS and WinCross, strong Microsoft Excel skills, and experience working with survey datasets and producing cross-tabulations.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach when working with local and remote teammates and research stakeholders.
  • A proactive, curious approach to change and ambiguity, with the judgment to test new ideas responsibly, evaluate their impact, and continuously improve data analysis workflows.
  • The ability to prioritize high-impact work, manage competing deadlines, stay organized, and consistently deliver accurate, high-quality outputs in a fast-moving environment.
  • Accountability for goals and deliverables, with the ability to work independently, collaborate effectively as part of a team, and bring a positive, solutions-oriented mindset as priorities evolve.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with questionnaires, table specifications, banners, filters, and weighting is an asset.
  • Experience working in market research or public opinion research is preferred.

Why Reach3 for your next career adventure?

At Reach3, how we work matters just as much as what we deliver. We're building a place where people can do meaningful work, grow their careers, partner with great clients, and enjoy the humans they work with along the way.

Fair compensation: We're committed to pay equity and fair pay practices. The salary range for this role is $65,000 to $85,000, with final compensation based on skills, experience, and internal equity.

  • Home office, internet, and cellphone stipends
  • Retirement savings with employer matching
  • Parental leave top-up

Flexibility and time off: Flexible ways of working, home office support, and comprehensive paid time off so you can recharge and do your best work.

  • Hybrid or remote working model, depending on role and location
  • Comprehensive paid time off
  • Volunteer and professional development days

  • Competitive health, vision, and dental benefits
  • Health spending account
