Remote Eligibility: Candidates must reside and work full-time in AR, KS, MO, OK, or TX before their first day of employment.

SHIFT: M-F, Days w/some flexibility post-training completion. Training starts in

the early morning (630-7a)

This position may be filled as a Professional Billing Specialist I or II depending on individual experience, education, certification(s), and business need.

***Ideal candidate is self-motivated with problem-solving skills, has a general understanding of HIPAA and/or EOB and experience working with insurance companies.***

General Description

Entrylevel professional billing role responsible foraccurateclaim submission and routine followup using established workflows in an academic medical environment.

Essential Job Duties

Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities, with or without an accommodation, may result in disqualification from the position.

  • Prepare andsubmitprofessional claims; correct routineclaimerrors and rejections.

  • Work assigned billing and followup queues in Epic.

  • Apply foundational knowledge of CPT, ICD10CM, modifiers, and payer rules.

  • Meet productivity, quality, and timeliness standards.

Minimum Requirements (Level 1):

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: At least 1 year of Medical Insurance experience.

Certification/License/Registration: None required.

Minimum Requirements (Level 2):

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: At least 3 years of professional billing experience required.

Certification/License/Registration: CPB required within 1 year of hire date.
