Position Overview
This position supports a Remote Control System group as part of an engineering team that designs, develops, integrates, and tests robust, scalable features on embedded electronic control systems and vision systems for remote control machine applications. The role works within a 7-8 person development team in an onsite office environment, partnering with system engineers and global teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Define system requirements, architecture, interfaces, and end-to-end feature traceability.
โ€ข Design, develop, integrate, and validate remote control systems across software, hardware, controls, and communication networks.
โ€ข Develop and maintain embedded software using Embedded C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink.
โ€ข Perform system integration, verification & validation (V&V), troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
โ€ข Support functional safety, FMEA, product quality, and release activities.
โ€ข Utilize AI-assisted tools to improve engineering productivity, testing, and documentation.
โ€ข Collaborate with remote control system engineers and global teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
โ€ข Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field and 5-7 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Embedded Software Development, and Integration & Validation, including 3-5 years of system integration experience.
โ€ข 5+ years of experience with Embedded C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink.
โ€ข 5+ years of embedded system development experience with RTOS.
โ€ข Strong knowledge of requirements engineering, system architecture, electrical schematics, system integration, and V&V.
โ€ข Proficiency with CAN, Ethernet, and embedded control systems, along with tools such as CANoe/CANalyzer, Wireshark, and Git.
โ€ข Proficiency with AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot).
โ€ข Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills; a self-starter who is highly motivated and able to learn quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
โ€ข Experience with autonomy, robotics, remote control, or machine control systems.
โ€ข Familiarity with AUTOSAR, functional safety, FMEA, HIL/SIL, DOORS/Jama, and automated test frameworks.
