• Provide individualized therapy strategies tailored to meet the distinct needs of each client, conducting thorough assessments and evaluations.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to groups, individuals, and families, utilizing various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused techniques.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, social workers, and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive support and care for all clients.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation while adhering to legal and ethical standards in clinical practice.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training sessions to stay current in the ever-evolving field of mental health research and practice.

You will work with a diverse array of clients, including individuals coping with emotional distress, families facing relational challenges, and those confronting substance use issues and trauma. Your role will be vital in facilitating their healing journeys, providing empathetic support, and empowering them to achieve personal and therapeutic goals.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.
• A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience is required, demonstrating proficiency in providing therapeutic support in a clinical setting.
• In-depth understanding of legal and ethical standards governing counseling practices, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients.
• Demonstrable capability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) software and related technologies essential for efficient practice management.

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples counseling, substance use treatment, or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.
