What is the Position?

PartsBadger is seeking a Lead CAM Programmer to collaborate with a small team dedicated to the success of our customers. The Lead CAM Programmer will be responsible for coordinating with a team of programmers, reviewing, updating, creating programs and instituting best practices.

The FastLane program is automating high-mix low-volume work utilizing our advanced software and robotics to drastically speed up the time it takes to get jobs produced. It's our goal to build the most responsive manufacturing cells on the planet to serve our 3,000 customers across the United States.

Coordinating with our team of remote programmers you will be the technical expert leading the team to ensure that all programs are sufficient and that best practices are updated to get the highest first-part success rate. This position includes reviewing, updating, and creating 3+2 CAM programs in Fusion 360 for automated manufacturing in addition to leading the team, monitoring performance, training, and updating and developing new processes. We are a high-mix low volume job shop, which means lots of unique parts which require creative solutions which are then rolled into best practices. An ambitious, detail-oriented, and fast-working individual will thrive in this role. In our dynamic environment, things change quickly and are constantly being streamlined.

Our West Bend location boasts 20,000 sqft dedicated to our advanced manufacturing (FastLane) program, and 15,000 sq. ft in Cedarburg that blends office and production space. We are a job shop with a large variety of part types, sizes and quantities. We work with almost every material available including steels, aluminums, exotics, plastics and more. We continue to develop the layout of our space for idea generation and collaborative work.

  • CNC CAM Program Reviewing, Editing, and Creating (Fusion 360)

  • Updating, and Deploying new Best Practices & SOPs

  • Maintaining and Updating Programmer KPIs
  • Coordinating Activities with Remote Programming Team
