Sodexo is seeking a Full-time Registered Dietitian for the Caron Treatment Centers, a 250-bed inpatient drug and alcohol facility located in Wernersville, Pennsylvania (40 miles outside of Philadelphia). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about nutrition and behavioral health.

This position is open to new or experienced Dietitians!

Start with 3 weeks' vacation and 3 personal days!Reimbursement for AND dues, state licensure fees, and CDR renewal!

After One Year of Service: Money toward continuing education events & Up to $5000 tuition reimbursement

What You'll Do
  • See patients individually per policy (medical need only)
  • Facilitate sobriety nutrition therapy lectures on the various units
  • Attend Team meetings - typically one daily
  • Participate in huddles with operations team when clinical schedule allows
  • Update dietary needs list daily for the operations team and Update resources and lecture materials 
  • Represent the Food & Nutrition Department as the primary liaison with the medical and nursing staff
  • Participate in Caron's Wellness Committee

What You Bring
  • Be a Registered Dietitian and licensed in state of PA
  • Prior experience in behavioral health nutrition strongly preferred (trauma-informed nutrition care, sobriety nutrition therapy, eating disorders, Intuitive Eating, "all foods fit" mentality) OR expresses a strong desire to learn these disciplines
  • Possess strong leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Possess commitment, reliability, dependability, is self-driven and personable - able to connect and build rapport easily with patients and colleagues

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)   

Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire  

Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
