Job description

SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Clinical Quality Manager, the responsibilities of this position are to ensure that quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives are carried out and department EMS staff delivers quality patient care and Patient Care Reports. The QA/QI Specialist will work in close conjunction with Regional Chief of Operations, District Chiefs, Field Crews, Billing Management, and the EMS Chief Medical Officer/Medical Director to ensure a robust quality assurance program for EMS providers throughout the company. This is a hybrid-remote position: routine QA/QI review, reporting, and documentation work may be performed remotely, but the role requires the employee to regularly observe and participate, in person, in field and operational settings, such as EMS ride-alongs with crews and observation in dispatch centers, in order to maintain direct familiarity with clinical operations.
