We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Engineer to serve as the primary Salesforce resource for one or more business departments. In this role, you'll partner closely with stakeholders to understand business processes, translate requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions, and provide both hands-on administration and development support.
Acting as an internal Salesforce consultant, you'll become a trusted advisor to the teams you support, helping optimize workflows through configuration, automation, integrations, and strategic platform enhancements. You'll maintain a Salesforce roadmap for each department while collaborating with leadership to ensure projects are aligned with business priorities.
Responsibilities
Salesforce Administration
- Manage users, profiles, permission sets, roles, and security.
- Design, build, and maintain complex Salesforce Flows, including screen, record-triggered, scheduled, autolaunched, and subflows.
- Configure custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, and automation.
- Maintain data quality, integrity, and deduplication efforts.
- Manage releases, sandbox environments, deployments, reports, and dashboards.
Development & Integration
- Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, and basic asynchronous processes where declarative solutions aren't sufficient.
- Make minor Lightning Web Component (LWC) enhancements and collaborate with developers on larger customizations.
- Design and support integrations with third-party business systems.
- Evaluate when to use Flow versus Apex to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Translate business requirements into effective technical designs.
Strategy & Collaboration
- Serve as the embedded Salesforce advisor for supported departments.
- Build relationships with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Maintain departmental Salesforce roadmaps and recommend configuration, customization, or third-party solutions.
- Document architecture decisions and support long-term platform governance.
- 5+ years of Salesforce Administration and Development experience.
- 3+ years supporting multiple business units or serving in a Salesforce consulting role.
- Salesforce Administrator (ADM 201) certification required.
- Platform App Builder certification required or in progress.
- Advanced expertise with Salesforce Flow, including complex production-level automation.
- Strong understanding of the Salesforce security and data models.
- Working knowledge of Apex, including the ability to read, write, and maintain straightforward code.
- Basic experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Experience with deployments, version control, and sandbox management.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance day-to-day support with long-term platform planning.
