Job description

Healthcare's helping hand.
CHG shook things up in 1979 by inventing the locum tenens staffing model. We connect doctors with patients who need their care. As the largest physician staffing firm in America, our providers treat millions of patients each year.
Our industry is growing and demand is high. This means you'll have plenty of opportunities to grow and develop in your career. Keeping healthcare healthy can be as fun as it is rewarding

CHG is seeking a Sr BSA to support the product strategy and execution in our Sales Tools development environment. You will author detailed technical specifications that give engineering teams the clarity to build with confidence and partner with our customers to meet their needs.

You will be embedded within engineering workflows, participating in design reviews, reviewing pull requests for spec alignment, and writing prototypes and code to validate your own assumptions. If you are a product leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy and technology, and you believe the best specs come from people who understand both the customer and the code, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Author and own detailed technical specifications for product initiatives, including system context, data flows, API contracts, acceptance criteria, and edge case definitions
  • Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap grounded in customer research, market analysis, and business objectives
  • Write prototypes, proof-of-concept scripts, and lightweight automation to validate assumptions and accelerate decision-making
  • Participate in the building by taking existing code, understand how it works, and deploy changes.
  • Partner with engineering as an embedded team member: participate in design reviews, sprint planning, technical discussions, and pull request reviews for spec alignment
  • Define product metrics, design experiments (A/B tests, cohort analysis), and independently extract and analyze data to drive prioritization
  • Translate technical complexity into clear narratives for business stakeholders and business context into actionable direction for engineers
  • Break large initiatives into shippable increments defined in specs, ensuring a consistent delivery cadence and early detection of scope or quality risks
  • Conduct customer research, competitive analysis, and stakeholder interviews to inform product direction and identify high-leverage opportunities

Education & Experience

  • BS preferred in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, engineering, business, or a related discipline), but relevant professional experience accepted.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management with demonstrated technical depth.
  • Experience authoring technical specifications, working in codebases, or contributing to engineering workflows.

Preferred

  • Experience with spec-driven or design-doc-driven development processes
  • Code Competency, ability to read, understand, and review code.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and pull request workflows
  • Experience with SaaS products, APIs, microservices, or platform products
  • Background in data analysis, A/B testing, and experimentation frameworks
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and delivery management tools (Jira, Confluence)
