As a primarily remote position, this role allows for a flexible work arrangement conducted from the comfort of your home or a chosen workspace. Our outpatient office in Rutland serves as a hub for collaborative meetings and training, ensuring that counselors are well-supported and equipped with the latest tools and techniques in mental health care. Team members regularly connect through virtual meetings and digital platforms to discuss patient progress, share resources, and enhance treatment strategies.

• Conduct comprehensive client assessments through initial intake interviews, utilizing standardized assessment tools to identify individual needs and create tailored treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual, couples, and family therapy sessions, utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based strategies.
• Support clients in setting ambitious yet attainable mental health goals, monitoring progress regularly, and adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) software to document treatment sessions and interactions.
• Participate in continuous professional development by attending workshops, webinars, and training sessions to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. You will also provide support for families navigating complex dynamics and adjustments. Our clients range from adolescents to adults, reflecting a wide array of life experiences and cultural backgrounds, allowing for a rich, varied counseling experience.

• A master’s degree or higher in Counseling or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• An active Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) license in the state of Vermont.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse client base, showcasing effective therapeutic strategies that resonate with different backgrounds.
• Strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic methods and a commitment to ethical practice in counseling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate rapport building and trust with clients.
• The capability to operate independently while also effectively collaborating within a supportive team environment.

• At least two years of experience in a clinical setting, specifically in mental health counseling.
• Experience utilizing telehealth platforms for counseling sessions is an advantage, particularly in a remote work setting.
• Familiarity with integrated care models is preferred, as we collaborate with other health professionals to provide holistic care to clients.

Guide Light Health & Wellness offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
