SSR Mining - Seabee Gold Operation is hiring for a Remote Scoop Operator.

About Your New Role:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Mine Operations, the Remote Scoop Operator, is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of scoop trams. You may also be required to carry out duties related to production and development.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate 2yd to 8yd scoop trams.

  • Operate remote operated scoop trams.

  • Load rock trucks with scoop trams.

  • Perform pre-op and post-op checks.

  • Day shift and night shift rotations.

  • Use of tele remote scoop trams.

  • Any other duties as assigned by the department.

Your Knowledge and Skills:

  • Operation of manual and remote scoop tram experience will be an asset.

  • Previous mine rescue member is an asset, although not required.

Your Education and Experience:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience working in a hard rock underground mine.

About Our Working Conditions:

This position has a schedule of two (2) weeks on, two (2) weeks off at our remote camp in northern Saskatchewan, working 12-hour days with possibility of unscheduled overtime required on occasion. You will be required to fly in fly out of the site on designated days from a pick-up point in either Saskatoon, Prince Albert or La Ronge.
