• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to accurately identify the needs of students and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique circumstances.
• Utilize a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to deliver impactful counseling sessions to clients of varying ages.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups and support workshops that address common mental health challenges, fostering a sense of community among participants.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, educators, and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care, maximizing resources and expertise.
• Offer crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, providing immediate assistance to students in distress.
• Educate clients and families on mental health awareness, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them on their journey to wellness.
• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in patient records.
• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights and strategies for improved care delivery.
• Monitor professional development through ongoing education and training, staying informed about current research and advancements in the field.

This role focuses primarily on students within a remote educational environment, helping to address mental health challenges that may arise in academic settings. You will work with individuals across a wide spectrum of issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, learning challenges, and behavioral concerns. Your contributions will play a crucial role in fostering a healthier, more supportive learning atmosphere.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field is required.
• Licensure as a LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State is mandatory.

• Proven experience in conducting comprehensive assessments and formulating effective treatment strategies.
