Position Title: Enrollment & EDI Business Systems Analyst (834 EDI Required) Work Model: 100% Remote Pay Rate: $42/hr (W2) Contract Duration: 12 month contract (possibility of extension)

Overview

This role supports healthcare enrollment operations and EDI processing. You’ll work as the functional/business-side expert partnering with business stakeholders and technical teams to define requirements, support testing, and troubleshoot issues—with a strong focus on Enrollment EDI 834 transactions.

Must-Have (Non-Negotiable)

  • Hands-on experience with Enrollment EDI 834 files (you’ve worked with 834s directly—triage, troubleshooting, testing, and resolving issues)
  • 4+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, operational analysis, data analysis, and/or testing analysis
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills (ability to work with business users + technical teams)
  • Strong organization/time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office in a data-heavy environment

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • 834 / Enrollment EDI Support

    • Analyze 834-related issues, identify root cause, and coordinate fixes with the right teams
    • Support file mapping, testing, validation, and ongoing troubleshooting
    • Perform data analysis/reconciliation to ensure enrollment changes are accurate and complete
  • Requirements & Documentation

    • Gather, elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements (functional + non-functional)
    • Produce clear, well-organized documentation and translate business needs into specifications
    • Participate in requirements validation and design review sessions to ensure solutions meet user needs
  • Testing / UAT Ownership

    • Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT): create test plans, coordinate testing, document results
    • Track defects/gaps, manage open issues, and help drive resolution to closure
    • Provide guidance/training to end users as needed
  • Project & Work Intake Support

    • Monitor progress, communicate status, identify risks, and help keep deliverables on time
    • Prioritize and manage incoming requests and small enhancements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field OR (in lieu of degree) 4 additional years of relevant experience.
