Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health status, employing recognized diagnostic tools and evidence-based assessment methods.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans, tailored to address the unique needs and circumstances of each client.
• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, employing techniques that promote healing and resilience based on cultural competence.
• Provide clients with coping strategies and life skills to help them overcome challenges, including crisis intervention when necessary.
• Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists and support groups, when clients require additional services.
• Document progress in client records accurately and in a timely manner to maintain compliance with organizational standards and policies.
• Participate in regular supervision and peer collaboration to enhance treatment quality and ensure continuous professional growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse client base that includes individuals coping with substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and various eating disorders. You will need to approach each situation with cultural sensitivity and awareness, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the social determinants that may affect mental health. Your ability to adapt therapeutic approaches based on the backgrounds and experiences of your clients is vital to fostering effective therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of four years of relevant counseling experience, showcasing progressive responsibility in therapeutic settings.
• Deep understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Proficient communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport and trust with clients from varied backgrounds.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and commitment to adhering to ethical standards and confidentiality protocols.

Preferred Experience

• Experience delivering both individual and group therapy.
• Prior experience with crisis intervention and managing high-stress situations in therapeutic settings.
• Strong knowledge of multicultural counseling techniques and practices.
• Experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits
