Tax Senior – Remote - Anywhere in the USPosition Overview

Join a collaborative accounting practice as a Tax Senior in this fully remote role. You'll work on high-quality tax matters that combine the complexity and rigor of larger firms with the flexibility and direct client access of a more intimate team. This position requires an active CPA or EA license and is ideal for professionals seeking meaningful work without the traditional large-firm lifestyle.

What You'll Do
  • Manage a diverse tax portfolio, splitting your time equally between business taxation (50%) and individual taxation (50%)
  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and estates
  • Lead tax compliance engagements from initial planning through final completion
  • Support year-round tax planning and advisory projects for clients
  • Communicate directly with clients, providing clear tax advice and recommendations
  • Research federal, state, and multistate tax issues to ensure compliance and identify opportunities
  • Identify and communicate tax-saving strategies to both managers and clients
  • Mentor junior team members as you grow in the role
  • Utilize CCH Axcess for tax preparation and compliance work
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years of tax experience at a public accounting firm
  • Active CPA or EA license Preferred, not Required
  • Strong experience preparing both business and individual tax returns
  • Ability to handle complex returns and provide quality review of less-complex work
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and client-service skills
  • Proven ability to work directly with clients in a consultative capacity
  • Top 100 accounting firm experience is a plus
  • CCH Axcess experience is preferred
