The Senior ServiceNow Developer / Application Programmer provides full lifecycle support, maintenance, and enhancement of ServiceNow solutions for a federal cybersecurity and IT program. This role serves as the primary technical resource for sustaining production ServiceNow environments, resolving issues, supporting upgrades, and implementing configuration changes. The position also supports Microsoft 365 and lowcode platforms, translating business needs into workflows, automations, and technical solutions. This is a fully remote role requiring a Public Trust clearance

Responsibilities:

ServiceNow Operations & Maintenance

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for sustaining and supporting ServiceNow applications and modules.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, defects, and userreported issues, performing rootcause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support platform upgrades, patching, and configuration changes to maintain system stability, performance, and compliance.

ServiceNow Development & Configuration

  • Configure, enhance, and maintain workflows, forms, business rules, and platform components.
  • Support new development efforts within defined scope, ensuring solutions follow best practices for maintainability, scalability, and security.
  • Implement enhancements to meet evolving business and operational requirements.

Business Analysis & Workflow Design

  • Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to understand operational needs, clarify requirements, and identify underlying process gaps.
  • Translate business requests into logical workflows, technical specifications, and implementation plans.
  • Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities; document workflows, configurations, and support procedures.

Microsoft 365 & LowCode Platform Support

  • Support administration and maintenance of Microsoft 365 environments across development, test, and production.
  • Maintain and enhance solutions built using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and SharePoint Online.
  • Assist with integrations between Microsoft 365 tools and ServiceNow; coordinate with internal development teams on shared solutions.

Technical Support & SME Guidance

  • Provide subject matter expertise and technical guidance to IT and cybersecurity staff on solutions built using ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, Archer, and related technologies.
  • Support knowledge transfer, documentation, and bestpractice adoption across the technical team.

Requirements

  • Handson experience supporting and maintaining ServiceNow in a production environment.
  • Proficiency with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, ServiceNow, and Archer.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problemsolving, and ServiceNow scripting/configuration skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and lowcode platforms.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical workflows and solutions.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience with Section 508 compliance.
  • Proven experience with cybersecurity technologies.

Desired Skills
