Job description

We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to support a respected legal team handling complex business and commercial disputes in Chino, California. This Long-term Contract opportunity offers a flexible, fully remote arrangement with an expected part-time schedule of approximately 10 to 20 hours per week. The role is well suited for a licensed California attorney who enjoys independent case management while collaborating on high-level litigation strategy and client matters.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee business and commercial litigation matters through each stage of the case lifecycle, from initial assessment to final resolution.
• Prepare persuasive legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, discovery materials, and internal case analyses.
• Perform thorough legal research and translate findings into practical litigation strategies and recommendations.
• Direct written discovery efforts, evaluate produced materials, and organize document review to support case objectives.
• Contribute to deposition planning, hearing preparation, motion practice, and other pre-trial activities.
• Maintain clear communication with clients regarding case progress, legal options, and strategic considerations.
• Participate in settlement discussions, mediation preparation, and other efforts aimed at resolving disputes efficiently.• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California Bar in good standing.
• At least 3 years of experience practicing litigation, preferably in business or commercial disputes.
• Demonstrated background in civil litigation involving contract, partnership, shareholder, or other complex matters.
• Strong ability to research legal issues, draft written advocacy, and analyze case risks and opportunities.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting while managing deadlines and competing priorities.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle discovery, briefing, and motion drafting with accuracy and professionalism.
