  • Work closely with clients on sophisticated, personal matters involving wills, trusts, incapacity planning, estate administration, and related needs.
  • Grow your practice beyond traditional estate planning with opportunities involving business matters, guardianships, and prenuptial agreements.
  • Join a collaborative team that values compassionate service, practical legal guidance, and long-term client relationships.
  • Enjoy a competitive base compensation package that scales with your experience and contribution.

Location

Lewes, Delaware — primarily in-office to support strong client relationships and hands-on onboarding, with flexibility for an occasional remote day once you are fully ramped up on our systems and caseload.

Note:

Must be licensed and in good standing with the Delaware Bar, have at least 1+ year of concentrated estates and trusts experience, and have independently managed a legal caseload with real drafting and client-facing responsibility.

About Us

We are a growing Delaware law firm focused on helping individuals, families, business owners, and fiduciaries navigate estate planning, estate administration, guardianships, and business matters. Our approach is personal, compassionate, and practical, with an emphasis on clear legal guidance and building trusted, long-term client relationships. Confidential Employer.

Job Description

  • Manage an estate planning caseload with increasing independence and ownership.
  • Draft and review wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related estate planning documents.

  • Handle matters through appropriate stages of estate planning, administration, and probate.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, families, fiduciaries, and other professionals.
  • Identify additional planning needs and provide thoughtful legal guidance across related areas.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • Contribute to matters involving business law, guardianships, and prenuptial agreements when appropriate.
  • Use legal technology and case management systems, including CLIO, to manage matters efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Active Delaware Bar license and good standing.
  • 1+ year of concentrated estates and trusts experience.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Ability to independently manage a client caseload.
  • Strong client communication, writing, organization, and legal judgment.
  • Estate administration, probate, guardianship, business law, or prenuptial agreement experience is a strong plus.
  • CLIO experience is a strong plus.
  • Solo practice experience is welcome, particularly where it includes substantial drafting and direct client management.

Why You Will Love Working Here

You will have the opportunity to build meaningful client relationships, take ownership of sophisticated legal matters, and make a tangible difference for families and business owners. We value attorneys who are compassionate, practical, collaborative, and committed to delivering excellent legal work. As our practice continues to grow, you will have room to expand your responsibilities, strengthen your expertise, and build a long-term career with a team that genuinely cares about its clients and its people.
