Job description

Senior Agentic Software Engineer (Remote)

arrivia Remote (US) Full-time

About arrivia

arrivia specializes in making brands better through the power of travel. The company is a merger of three powerhouse brands, ICE, SOR Technology, and WMPH Vacations, with offices on both coasts of the US and around the world. arrivia is focused on building a customer-first culture, fueled by the best travel experiences for members at every point in their journey. Core values: Stay Curious, Keep it Real, Own it, Win Together.

About the Role

As a Senior Agentic Software Engineer, you are a product-minded, customer-focused, full-stack engineer who ships faster and smarter by leveraging AI coding agents as core development tools. Operating with limited oversight and broad organizational scope, you architect systems, set technical direction, and drive engineering standards across teams, exercising wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches for critical technical initiatives.

You make high-impact architectural and strategic decisions that shape the platform's technical foundation, evaluating complex trade-offs that balance innovation, risk, scalability, and business impact. You lead by example, mentoring engineers across teams, influencing technology investment decisions, and shaping the adoption of agentic development practices company-wide.

This role is remote within the United States. arrivia is currently able to hire in the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

What You'll Do
  • Architect, design, and develop features and services as a technical leader on a full-stack product development team
  • Write clean, testable, peer-reviewed, and optimized high-performance code, whether authored manually or collaboratively with AI agents
  • Drive the adoption and standardization of agentic coding tools across engineering teams, establishing best practices, prompt libraries, and workflows
  • Review and validate AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability, setting the quality standard across teams
  • Design the organization's agentic workflow strategy, defining patterns and platforms that automate engineering tasks at scale
  • Architect Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations connecting AI agents to internal tools, data sources, and platform services
  • Lead improvements to development and operations of an increasingly distributed architecture across cloud platforms
  • Safeguard the privacy, security, and trust of members' sensitive data in partnership with Risk and Security teams
  • Establish and help meet backend and system SLOs to protect the platform through future growth
  • Mentor and guide engineers across teams on effective use of AI-assisted development, prompt engineering, and agentic workflow design
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of full-stack development and architectural experience building web applications and services
  • Expert proficiency using AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) in professional development workflows
  • Strong proficiency in two or more of TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or C#/.NET
  • Deep experience with a modern frontend framework: React, Next.js, Vue, or Angular
  • Proven ability to architect and deliver cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Deep understanding of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and experience architecting MCP server ecosystems
  • Working knowledge of Azure AI Foundry, RAG, LangChain, and graph-based data technologies (GraphRAG, GraphDB)
  • Solid experience with real-time streaming and distributed messaging platforms such as Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Agile software delivery experience
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is $146,000-$302,000 annually, based on Provn's market benchmarking. Benefits include access to arrivia's private travel marketplace with deeply discounted rates on cruises, resorts, and hotels, robust medical, dental, and vision insurance, and 401(k) with company matching, inside a remote-friendly culture that spans US and international time zones.

How to Apply

To apply for this role, you must create an account on provn.co and submit all required application artifacts. Resume only applications may be considered, but candidates who complete a full application are reviewed with priority.

How hiring works here: Referrals are king for getting an interview. But what if you don't have a referral? Applying with Provn is designed to help you get more interviews. Instead of sending a cold resume into an ATS and waiting, you will complete a challenge built by arrivia and submit a short video walking through your approach. No time limit. No timers. No restrictions on AI usage. Show how you build with AI.

  • You show how you actually build and ship with coding agents, instead of hoping a resume communicates your skill clearly.
  • Your judgment with AI becomes visible, which no "proficient with AI coding agents" resume bullet can prove.
  • One challenge puts you in front of the engineering team, scored on the work. Priority without a referral!

The hiring manager reviews every completed submission, and strongest candidates go straight to an interview round. No referral needed. Performance over pedigree. Proof over polish.
