PPC, a Belden Brand, is seeking an experienced National Accounts Director to manage and expand sales of our fiber and optic cable products to a key Telecom Accounts This role will be based remotely and will require extensive visits to the account's main sites Account, Lumen and with potential for others.

You will make an impact in the following way:

  • Develop and maintain strategic professional relationships with key decision makers.
  • Create and implement a sales plan to meet and exceed annual sales targets for full telecom and fiber product portfolio.
  • Manage contract proposals for existing customers and new clients.
  • Research and recommend new markets/customers. Proactively develop and recommend innovative ideas to build new business opportunities.
  • Responsible for reporting on sales, retention, revenue and forecasting for the team to leadership and finance.
  • Successful development, review and execution of sales account plans.
  • Develop a broad understanding of key competition and articulate/executive how the business can maintain a competitive advantage over the competitors through effective sales plans, communication, and execution.

What you will bring:

  • Education - Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales Management, or related field; Master's in Business Management preferred.
  • Experience - Minimum 7 years of related industry experience  in telecommunications or all communications networks with 5 years of experience in a direct sales management position. Related experience will be in telecommunications, fiber, and/or optical sales.
  • Knowledge & Skills - Proven negotiation skills and experience in creating detailed, multiyear agreements with executive level customers, purchasing departments and legal departments. 
  • Must be able to negotiate and close both existing and new business across multiple markets through distribution and related channel partners. This role will support and lead multi-tier sales channels, collaborating closely with regional sales teams and independent rep firm partners to drive revenue growth.
  • Knowledge & Skills - Extensive experience with progressive sales automation systems and demonstrated ability to improve sales productivity based on use of sales automation and corporate AI.
  • Proven revenue leadership: Consistently delivers growth, accurately forecasts, and manages to KPIs.
  • Customer & market insight: Understands end-user needs, competitors, pricing dynamics, and where to invest selling time.
  • Customers Define Our Success - Experience in working with and building long-term relationships with large, multi-divisional corporate accounts. Extensive experience in corporate market across United States.
  • We Succeed Through Teamwork - Extensive experience with corporate team activities including cooperative development of successful sales programs.
  • Work Environment - must be able to travel 75% of the time, domestic basis as required.

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $120,000 - 150,000 annually, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role.  This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant's experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
