Position: National Sales Director - West

Job Summary

The Director of Sales is responsible for leading revenue growth and execution of the sales strategy within their assigned region. This role drives accountability by leading from the front — actively assigning leads, tracking activity, performing ride-alongs, supporting large opportunities, and ensuring reps follow the proven sales playbook. This position ensures sales teammates are trained, coached, and equipped to grow inspection contracts, drive repair and project sales, and deliver outstanding service results.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Strategy Execution

  • Execute regional service revenue growth strategy as defined by the CRO, ensuring full alignment with the region and to maintain consistency across all regions (East & West)
  • Implement and reinforce the Ace Sales Playbook — including inspection contract growth, repair quoting, and follow-through.
  • Champion renewal processes, increasing retention and expansion of contracted customers.
  • Maintain accurate regional forecasting, sales pipeline execution, and business review cadence with key accounts.

NetSuite CRM Accountability

  • Lead by example in NetSuite usage — logging activities, visits, weekly sprint reporting, and renewal follow-ups.
  • Assign leads, contacts, tasks, and opportunities appropriately and ensure consistency across the team.
  • Track weekly KPIs including visits, quotes created vs. total, inspection contracts sold, and contact engagement.
  • Drive adoption and leverage the latest sales tools to improve productivity and efficiency.

Territory Rep Coaching & Development

  • Conduct frequent ride-alongs providing real-time coaching and competitive field insight.
  • Work directly with struggling reps to develop and execute improvement plans.
  • Ensure all reps remain trained and up-to-date on inspection repair selling, quoting tools, and technical knowledge.

Customer & Market Growth

  • Support large-scale contract, modernization, and installation opportunities to secure high-value wins.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic regional customers and OEM/vendor partners.
  • Conduct customer business reviews for key accounts within the region.
  • Lead proactive inspection repair sales efforts in partnership with local service operations.

Sales Operations & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Work closely with Contract Administration and Legal to negotiate, resolve exceptions, and accelerate deal closure.
  • Maintain close communication with branch leaders to support capacity planning and service readiness.
  • Proactively coordinate scheduling, travel, branch visits, and customer meetings in advance.

Supervisory Responsibility

Direct supervision of Territory Sales Representatives within the region.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office and field environment. It routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones. Forklifts, cranes, and other machinery found in warehousing facilities will also be used.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work.

Travel

50–65% regional travel with frequent overnight stays.

Required Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree preferred.

· Seven to Ten (7-10) years of experience in service-related sales or operations is preferred; however, equivalent experience, education, and training will be considered.

· Must have demonstrated leadership experience.

· Strong communication, CRM proficiency, and disciplined planning capability.

· NetSuite ERP and CRM experience is preferred, but not required

· Exceptional computer aptitude.
