Key Responsibilities
  • 'Own' prioritization of development work for the Archives product, reporting to VP of Product, who will guide the strategy and work alongside you to move the product forward
  • Participate in the Agile process, including remote team members, acting as the expert for the Archives product and its users
  • Represent the archivist when planning features, driving new functionality development from a user perspectiveโ€”understanding workflows around accessioning, arrangement, description, preservation, and access
  • Interact with users virtually and in person to ensure a complete understanding of the problems they are trying to solve; conducting product walk-throughs for both internal and external audiences
  • Assist development teams in creating a consistent, intuitive user experience for the Archives product
  • Stay current with archival standards and best practices (ISAD(G), DACS, ISAAR(CPF), EAD, Dublin Core) and understand how they inform product requirements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales, and Support teams to gather feedback and identify opportunities for product improvement
Requirements
  • A post-secondary degree or certificate in a relevant discipline is required (Library Science, Information Science, History, Archival Studies, Computer Science, or related field)
  • 3-5 years' experience in a technical environment or working with archives/records management systems
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills are prerequisites for this role
  • An aptitude for technical concepts and the ability to simplify them for less-technical individuals is integral to your success
  • Experience using a development task-management system for backlog prioritization would serve you well
Bonus Points For:
  • Prior experience with Jira and/or Aha!
  • Pragmatic Marketing Product Management training or similar certification
  • Familiarity with archival standards (ISAD(G), ISAAR(CPF), EAD, DACS) or metadata standards (Dublin Core, METS, PREMIS)
  • Experience working in or with archives, museums, libraries, or cultural heritage organizations
  • Understanding of digital preservation concepts and long-term access requirements
