Position Summary

The Digital Lending Specialist guides members through the consumer loan process from application to funding using online and remote lending channels. This role combines lending expertise, relationship-building, and digital technology to deliver a seamless borrowing experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, service-focused, and committed to helping members find financial solutions that meet their needs. 


What You'll Do
  • Review and process consumer loan applications submitted through digital channels 
  • Communicate with members throughout the lending process, providing updates and guidance from application through funding 
  • Conduct needs-based conversations to recommend loan products and financial solutions 
  • Collect and verify documentation while ensuring compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements 
  • Utilize loan origination systems (LOS), CRM platforms, and digital tools to manage applications efficiently 
  • Assist members with e-signatures, secure document uploads, and other online lending technologies 
  • Partner with underwriting, funding, and servicing teams to ensure timely loan processing 
  • Maintain compliance with lending regulations, including Reg B, ECOA, FCRA, and Fair Lending requirements 
  • Meet lending, service, and quality goals while helping improve digital lending processes and member experience 
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required 
  • One to three years of experience in consumer lending, loan processing, financial services, or a related field preferred 
  • Credit union or banking experience is a plus 
  • Strong knowledge of consumer lending products and documentation requirements 
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills 
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities 
  • Comfortable using loan origination systems, CRM platforms, and digital communication tools 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a commitment to delivering exceptional member service
