You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Note this role requires 10% travel.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Technology Leader for an internal audit tool
  • Direct a team of full-stack engineers to develop and deliver features as per the committed backlog on time, with quality and on budget
  • Apply design thinking to drive technical architecture decisions
  • Balance stakeholder needs, program objectives and technology strategy to create the right experiences for the end user and positively impact Broker NPS
  • Work with the team to meet security MBOs, reduce tech debt, and drive adoption of AI productivity tools while accelerating delivery
  • Help build, develop, and retain a high performing engineering team
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team
  • Lead from the front, provide guidance, coaching and mentoring and act as a consultant for the cross-functional teams
  • Serve as escalation point for the team and remove roadblocks so the team can do their best work
  • Communicate changes in direction or priority shifts to cross-functional teams
  • Escalate issues/challenges that could impact quality, budget, timeline, or strategic vision

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or 8 years equivalent experience
  • 8 years of IT Software Development or DevOps experience
  • 5 years of experience developing web applications or portals
  • 5 years of experience in software development and coding (C#, Java, Angular/React)
  • 5 years of experience in database development and management (SQL)
  • 5 years of experience in DevOps configuration and management (GHEC, Azure DevOps)
  • 5 years of demonstrated experience with software design and architecture patterns
  • 2 years of experience of design and implementation of cloud applications
  • 2 years of experience of leading engineering teams

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
