Job description

Job Overview:

Pay Range $50hr - $55hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience.
  • 7+ years of hands-on technical experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration or integration.
  • Strong proficiency in Gosu, Java/J2EE, XML, JSON, and SQL/PL-SQL database queries.
  • Solid understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance operations, policy lifecycles, and rating/quoting jobs.
  • Active Guidewire Developer Certificate.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure PolicyCenter data models, product models, screen layouts (PCF files), underwriting rules, and rating logic.
  • Write clean, efficient business logic, enhancements, and scripts using Guidewire’s Gosu language and Java.
  • Build and maintain integrations between PolicyCenter and external or internal third-party systems using web services, APIs, and messaging frameworks.
  • Perform thorough unit testing, troubleshoot defects, and resolve configuration or integration issues across dev, QA, and production environments.
  • Work alongside Business Analysts, Enterprise Architects, and QA teams in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment to refine technical requirements.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Guidewire Studio, Git/SVN version control, and build tools like Maven or Gradle.
