As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for guiding your team on how to use Scrum practices and values to delight customers. What you'll do:
  • Build a team culture consistent with the Scrum Core Values: openness, courage, respect, focus, commitment
  • Work with the Product Owner to align teams with the product vision, sprint goals, and other necessary information
  • Assist with communication by improving transparency and radiating information.
  • Coach Product Owners in creation and maintenance of the product backlog, including empirical planning
  • Support and coach your team using a servant leadership by facilitating conversations to get work done without the need for coercion, assigning, or dictating a path forward - help build self-organizing teams.
  • Surface, escalate, and remove impediments with urgency.
  • Facilitate engaging discussions, drive continuous improvement, and build a team that makes you excited to come to work every morning
  • Understand Lean and Agile practices and principles, help teams continuously improve with focus on metrics

Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification required.
  • 3+ years of experience within financial services, fintech, lending, banking, mortgage, consumer lending, equipment finance, or related regulated financial environments.
  • 5+ years of experience as a practicing Scrum Master supporting software development teams.
  • Deep expertise with Agile and Scrum methodologies and their application within modern product development and technology organizations.
  • Proven ability to assess team maturity, identify process gaps, coach teams, and independently drive Agile adoption and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong servant leadership skills with experience coaching Product Owners, development teams, and stakeholders toward Agile best practices.
  • Advanced proficiency with Jira and Confluence, including dashboards, reporting, metrics, workflow management, integrations, and Agile team performance analysis.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to leverage Jira metrics and delivery data to identify trends, diagnose issues, and proactively escalate risks.
  • Experience supporting multiple Scrum teams simultaneously across varying levels of Agile maturity.
  • Ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, improve team effectiveness, and drive accountability without direct authority.
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate team health, delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and expectations to leadership audiences.
  • Ability to lead with confidence, influence stakeholders, and build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working within modern software development environments utilizing technologies such as cloud platforms, enterprise applications, APIs, Salesforce, and web-based applications.
  • Ability to drive development teams toward roadmap objectives, delivery commitments, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Must be able to work East Coast business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Agile certifications such as A-CSM, CSP, PSM II, PSM III, SAFe, or similar.
  • Experience within small business lending, commercial lending, consumer lending, equipment finance, mortgage lending, or other lending-focused organizations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations common within financial services and fintech environments.
  • Experience supporting teams utilizing Salesforce, AWS, Java, Node.js, React, or similar modern technology stacks.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled productivity tools within Agile delivery environments, including Jira AI features, meeting intelligence tools, requirements generation tools, or development assistants.
  • Experience participating in Agile transformation initiatives and organizational Agile maturity programs.
  • Experience coaching teams through organizational change management and Agile adoption efforts.

Compensation depends on experience but is typically $50-60/hr W2 with a target salary to convert at $100-123K plus bonus. We are willing to send qualified candidates slightly over-budget.
