Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of clientsโ€™ mental health needs, assessing treatment for mental health and substance use disorders to ensure services align with established care standards.
  • Perform prior authorization reviews for mental health and substance abuse treatment, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and the medical necessity of services provided.
  • Collaborate with medical directors and leadership in ongoing efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of care, participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Engage in clinical case formulation, presenting complex cases during staffing meetings and integrating interdisciplinary feedback to refine treatment approaches.
  • Document all interactions and maintain compliance with professional standards, policies, and ethical guidelines as set by Psyche Counseling LLC and state regulations.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the clinical supervisor, contributing to the overall success of our outpatient practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse clientele, including individuals and families facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. Your role will involve tailoring therapeutic interventions to meet the unique needs of each client, promoting their overall psychological health and resilience. As a remote therapist, you will leverage telehealth tools to create a safe and supportive environment that encourages open communication and therapeutic growth.

Qualifications
  • A valid license to practice independently as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Maryland.
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills in evaluating and assessing treatment plans related to mental health and substance abuse.
  • Familiarity with utilization review processes and best practices in mental health care is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health records is beneficial for effective documentation and client engagement.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, preferably focusing on marriage and family therapy.
  • Experience working as part of a healthcare team to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.
