Roles & Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, administer, and support enterprise Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments utilizing Omnissa Horizon and Amazon WorkSpaces across global business locations.
  • Manage and maintain Horizon components including Connection Servers, Unified Access Gateways (UAG), App Volumes, Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM), Horizon Agents, and related infrastructure services.
  • Provision, configure, and support persistent and non-persistent virtual desktop pools, application pools, entitlement assignments, and user access management.
  • Administer Amazon WorkSpaces environments, including desktop provisioning, bundle management, image deployment, user onboarding, maintenance activities, and lifecycle management.
  • Build, maintain, patch, and optimize golden images, desktop templates, application packaging, and application delivery services.
  • Manage AWS infrastructure supporting VDI workloads, including EC2, VPC, EBS, FSx, IAM, CloudWatch, Security Groups, Load Balancers, and cloud networking components.
  • Integrate Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP, MFA, SSO, and identity management solutions to support secure access and authentication.
  • Configure and support DEM policies, user profiles, personalization settings, desktop experience optimization, and profile management solutions.
  • Monitor desktop performance, session health, resource utilization, user experience metrics, and service availability using enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Troubleshoot desktop, application, authentication, profile, connectivity, printing, and performance issues across Horizon and AWS WorkSpaces platforms.
  • Perform platform patching, upgrades, backup management, disaster recovery testing, business continuity planning, and capacity management activities.
  • Collaborate with Cloud, Infrastructure, Network, Security, Service Desk, and EUC teams to resolve incidents and improve platform stability.
  • Support Incident, Request, Problem, Change, Release, and Major Incident processes using ServiceNow while adhering to SLAs and SLOs.
  • Maintain architecture documentation, SOPs, operational runbooks, knowledge articles, build guides, and support procedures.
  • Drive automation, platform optimization, security compliance, and continuous service improvement initiatives across the VDI environment.
  • Provide operational support for business-critical virtual desktop services ensuring high availability, security, and end-user satisfaction.
