This position is completely remote, offering flexibility to create a schedule that accommodates your professional and personal commitments. As a therapist at Helping Hands, you will primarily work from an outpatient office perspective, where remote sessions are conducted via a secure and user-friendly therapy platform. Our virtual workspace ensures that you remain connected and supported throughout your workday, allowing for efficient communication and collaboration among team members.

As a Remote Mental Health Therapist, your day-to-day tasks will involve:

• Providing individual counseling sessions through video consultations aimed at improving clients’ mental health and emotional well-being.
• Encouraging clients to express their thoughts and feelings, enabling better self-understanding and fostering healthy interpersonal relationships.
• Actively advocating for clients’ needs while collaboratively setting achievable goals to guide their therapeutic journey.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of clients’ mental health status and devising tailored treatment plans employing evidence-based, solution-focused approaches.
• Documenting progress and maintaining accurate records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

You will engage with a variety of clients, all of whom have been carefully screened to ensure a good fit for remote therapy services. The client population consists primarily of stable adults experiencing low-acuity mental health issues. This enables you to focus on building therapeutic relationships and delivering impactful interventions without the complexities associated with severe mental health conditions. Clients will be matched to you based on your specialties and demographic preferences, enhancing the therapeutic alliance and effectiveness of care.

To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A full, unrestricted license to practice independently in Massachusetts, including LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW credentials. Note: We do not accept limited or provisional licenses, nor candidates with past disciplinary actions.
• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and cultural competence in all client interactions.
• Proficiency in using computer-based platforms, enabling effective and efficient remote therapy sessions.

While a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in mental health counseling is required, candidates with additional specialized training or experience in areas such as trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), or family therapy will be highly regarded.

Our competitive salary ranges from USD 90,000 to 104,000 annually based on your availability and the hours worked. In addition, we offer a generous sign-on bonus to newly hired therapists. Full-time clinicians will also receive:
