Job Description

The Solution Designer III is a strategic solution development leader responsible for designing innovative, client-focused service solutions that drive commercial growth and competitive differentiation across an assigned market segment. Working at the intersection of Sales, Operations, Commercial Finance, and other cross-functional teams, this role develops comprehensive service strategies that align client objectives with operational capabilities, financial goals, and Sodexo's standards of excellence.

The Solution Designer III leads the design of complex food service, environmental services, integrated facilities management, and support service solutions for new business pursuits, contract renewals, and high-value strategic opportunities. This role combines operational expertise, business acumen, and analytical thinking to evaluate client needs, assess business opportunities, and develop scalable, executable service models that deliver measurable value. Responsibilities include creating staffing strategies, operational workflows, service delivery models, capital improvement recommendations, and differentiated value propositions that strengthen Sodexo's competitive position while ensuring operational feasibility and financial performance. As a trusted advisor throughout the pursuit lifecycle, the Solution Designer III participates in discovery sessions, solution reviews, client presentations, and deal strategy discussions while collaborating with stakeholders to develop winning solutions.

The role also provides leadership and guidance to solution development team members, promotes standardized tools and methodologies, and drives continuous process improvements that enhance consistency, quality, and speed to market. Success in this position requires the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously, influence cross-functional teams, and deliver innovative solutions that improve win rates, strengthen client partnerships, and support sustainable, profitable growth.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Lead the design and development of innovative food service, environmental services, facilities management, and support service solutions for new business, renewals, and strategic pursuits.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Commercial Finance, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop competitive, client-focused solutions that drive profitable growth.
  • Create operational models, staffing strategies, service delivery concepts, and capital improvement recommendations that align with client objectives and business goals.
  • Guide solution development teams by providing technical expertise, coordinating project activities, and promoting collaboration across multiple functions.
  • Implement standardized solution design tools, methodologies, and quality processes while driving continuous improvements in efficiency, consistency, and operational excellence.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the solution lifecycle by supporting client presentations, strategic deal discussions, and complex issue resolution.
Qualifications

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Experience designing complex operational solutions within food service, facilities management, environmental services, or other outsourced service environments.
  • Proven ability to translate client business needs into scalable, innovative, and financially sound operational solutions.
  • Strong project management, collaboration, and communication skills with experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization.
  • Financial acumen with the ability to evaluate solution feasibility, cost drivers, pricing considerations, and business performance.
  • Proficiency with solution design, proposal, and CRM platforms, including Salesforce or similar business development tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring team members, influencing stakeholders, and managing multiple complex pursuits in a fast-paced environment.
  • French language proficiency is considered a strong asset.
  • Up to 75% travel within Canada and internationally is required.
