• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' mental health statuses, trauma histories, and identify suitable therapeutic paths.
• Craft and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, goal-setting, and building resilience in clients.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.
• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to express their experiences and develop coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to create an integrated care approach, ensuring holistic support for each patient.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating calm and effective response strategies.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping strategies while guiding them to available resources.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation adhering to legal and ethical guidelines to track client progress.
• Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development sessions focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.
• Continuously engage with the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to ensure the highest standard of care.

The primary focus of this role includes supporting a diverse clientele affected by trauma. You will work with individuals who may be facing PTSD, complex trauma, or related mental health issues. Hence, a deep understanding of trauma-related expressions and the ability to tailor interventions to individual needs are paramount. Your clinical expertise will directly influence patient outcomes, guiding them on their path toward recovery and resilience.

• Possession of a Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Florida.
• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care approaches.
• Proficiency in the application of trauma-focused therapies and evidence-based interventions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong emphasis on empathy and non-judgmental interaction.
• Adept at remaining composed and effective in high-stress situations.
• Basic proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications necessary for documentation and reporting.
• A collaborative spirit, comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams.

• Two years of post-licensure practice experience, ideally in a clinical setting focusing on trauma and mental health.
• Demonstrated experience implementing specific trauma-focused therapies, showcasing flexibility in approach based on patient needs.
