They use digital tools to create visual content such as websites, graphics, user interfaces, and branding materials. Remote designers collaborate with clients and teams online, using communication platforms and project management tools. This flexible work setup allows them to work with clients globally and maintain a better work-life balance.

What does a remote designer do?

Remote designers develop ideas on ways to present their company's products and services. Instead of working in the office, remote designers work from home or another location outside the office with internet connectivity. Remote designers work in many different industries; they are found in fashion merchandising, advertising and marketing, computer programming and software development, and manufacturing. Specific job duties vary, depending on the type of industry and the project. But your responsibilities may include collaborating and brainstorming with other designers, engineers, developers, and business analysts to determine how to best display the target product or service and meet your client's needs.

Position Overview

El Gloria Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis, providing crucial mental health services to individuals grappling with trauma. This remote position offers a unique opportunity for a licensed professional to engage with clients and deliver compassionate, individualized care designed to foster healing and resilience.

About the Organization

Located in the vibrant city of Tampa, Florida, El Gloria Counseling Center is a community health clinic passionately devoted to the mental health and wellness of our community. We specialize in treating trauma-related conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex trauma. Our staff works tirelessly in a supportive environment designed to empower trauma survivors, ensuring that every individual receives the dignity and respect they deserve.

Work Environment

This position allows for a flexible, remote work environment, perfect for those seeking to balance personal and professional commitments while making a meaningful impact. Our clinic fosters teamwork and collaboration among mental health professionals, ensuring that you have access to peer support and resources necessary for effective patient care. Although primarily remote, you will connect with fellow therapists in regular team meetings to discuss best practices in trauma-informed care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' mental health statuses, trauma histories, and identify suitable therapeutic paths.
  • Craft and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, goal-setting, and building resilience in clients.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.
  • Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to express their experiences and develop coping mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to create an integrated care approach, ensuring holistic support for each patient.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating calm and effective response strategies.
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping strategies while guiding them to available resources.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation adhering to legal and ethical guidelines to track client progress.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development sessions focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.
  • Continuously engage with the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to ensure the highest standard of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role includes supporting a diverse clientele affected by trauma. You will work with individuals who may be facing PTSD, complex trauma, or related mental health issues. Hence, a deep understanding of trauma-related expressions and the ability to tailor interventions to individual needs are paramount. Your clinical expertise will directly influence patient outcomes, guiding them on their path toward recovery and resilience.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a Masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Florida.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care approaches.
  • Proficiency in the application of trauma-focused therapies and evidence-based interventions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong emphasis on empathy and non-judgmental interaction.
  • Adept at remaining composed and effective in high-stress situations.
  • Basic proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications necessary for documentation and reporting.
  • A collaborative spirit, comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Experience
  • Two years of post-licensure practice experience, ideally in a clinical setting focusing on trauma and mental health.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing specific trauma-focused therapies, showcasing flexibility in approach based on patient needs.
Compensation and Benefits

El Gloria Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We are committed to your professional and personal well-being by providing a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Health and dental insurance plans designed to cater to your and your familyโ€™s needs.
  • A retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions to help you secure your financial future.
  • Generous paid time off and holiday pay, allowing you to recharge and maintain work-life balance.
  • Professional liability insurance to safeguard your practice.
  • Continuing education opportunities and funding support to empower your professional development.
